Die Initiative „Lies mit mir!“ hat das erfolgreiche Projekt im Jahr 2023 wieder übernommen.
Jede Woche lesen die ehrenamtlichen Lesepatinnen und Lesepaten in Kitas, Grundschulen und Stadtteileinrichtungen Kindern vor.

„Lies mit mir!” bietet kostenfreie Fortbildungen und Qualifizierung zur Lesepatenschaft.

Als Mutter zweier kleiner Töchter bedeutet Vorlesen für mich, sich Zeit für seine Liebsten zu nehmen. Gemeinsam lachen, staunen und Neues entdecken – die Welt der Bücher lädt uns dazu ein.

Lesen und Vorlesen bildet, es regt zum Nachdenken an und fördert Kreativität. Mit dem Vorlesen kann man daher gar nicht früh genug beginnen.

„Ein rätselhaftes Erbe“ – das ist das neue Kinder- und Jugendbuch des Hessischen Landtages, aus dem ich gegenwärtig besonders gerne vorlese. Denn dieser Detektivroman für 8 bis 12-Jährige ist ein Lesespaß für die ganze Familie. Für die private Lektüre habe ich leider nur selten Zeit, aber zuletzt habe ich „Der Fall Collini“ von Ferdinand von Schirach gelesen.

Vorlesen ist eine wunderbare Präsentation von Gedanken, Erzählungen und Geschichten mit der Chance zusammen mit anderen in diese einzusteigen, Hauptfiguren zu erleben, neue Welten zu entdecken. Bei eigenen Texten liegt der Reiz in der Spannung und dem Erlebnis, wie dies rüberkommt und wirkt.

Warum ist es für Sie wichtig?

Das Lesen bei Auftritten ist für mich eine Art Fortsetzung des Schreibens mit dem großen Unterschied des direkten Kontakts zu den Zuhörern, ihre Reaktionen und Empfindungen zu sehen und zu spüren. Auf diese Weise gelingt es Welten und Sichten gemeinsam zu eröffnen und Dinge ins Bewusstsein zu rufen. Eine immer wieder tolle Erfahrung und Begegnung.

Vorlesen bedeutet, Hand in Hand in einem Buch spazieren zu gehen und gemeinsam eine Geschichte oder ein Abenteuer zu erleben, ganz sicher, ganz beschützt, aus der sicheren Warte des Zuhörens heraus.

Es ist mir wirklich ein Anliegen, Kinder in dieser bestimmten Phase, in der sie nämlich gerne noch vorgelesen bekommen, zu erreichen, um ihre Freude und ihr Interesse an Geschichten, am Erzählen und natürlich auch für das Lesen zu wecken.

Es ist für mich ebenso wie für den Zuhörer eine Fantasie-Reise: Man ist völlig eins mit der Geschichte, fühlt sie, konzentriert sich voll aufs Geschehen und bekommt nichts drumherum mit.

Warum ist es für Sie wichtig?

Es ist die schnellste Form der Auszeit: Raus aus dem Alltag, rein ins Träumen! Und es bedeutet, sich bewusst Zeit füreinander zu nehmen: Einer liest vor, der andere hört zu. Außerdem stellt Vorlesen ein wichtiges Gegengewicht zu unserer durchdigitalisierten Welt dar, wo es meist nur um schnelle, eher oberflächliche Informationsaufnahme geht. Dabei sollen gerade Kinder die Möglichkeit haben, sich in einer Geschichte verlieren zu können.

Was lesen Sie aktuell?

„Die Mitternachtsbibliothek“ von Matt Haig: Eine junge Frau begeht Suizid und landet in einem Zwischenreich, der Mitternachtsbibliothek. Die Bücher im Regal zeigen ihr Leben in Parallelwelten und werfen die Frage auf, ob sie mit anderen beruflichen und privaten Entscheidungen glücklicher geworden wäre. Sehr schräg, sehr berührend. Ich lese aber auch vor: Den neuen Band „Fabelwesen zelten selten“ der unglaublich witzigen „Emmi & Einschwein“-Kinderbuchreihe von Anna Böhm: Titelheldin Emmi versucht gemeinsam mit ihrem Fabeltier (eine Mischung aus Einhorn und Schwein) zu verhindern, dass eine geheimnisvolle Waldlichtung zur Baustelle wird.

Durch das Vorlesen darf ich meine Mitmenschen mit meiner Stimme in andere Welten entführen und sie dabei auf fantastischen Abenteuern begleiten. Vorlesen ist für mich Wellness, Dankbarkeit und Wissbegierde zugleich.

Warum ist es für Sie wichtig?

Weil es anderen ein Lächeln aufs Gesicht zaubert, sie zur Ruhe kommen lässt und ich meinen eigenen Lesegenuss teilen darf, was gleich doppelt so viel Spaß macht.

Zum 21. Mal findet im Herbst das „Leseland Hessen“ statt.

Die in Wiesbaden lebende Autorin und Übersetzerin Agapi Mkrtchian war 2022 auf Einladung des Quartiersmanagements Gräselberg in der Kita Wörthersee-Straße zu Gast.

Rund 50 Kinder aus der Kita lauschten den von Agapi Mkrtchian vorgetragenen Märchen aus Armenien, die sie selbst übersetzt hat. Gekleidet in eine leuchtend rote armenische Tracht, las sie u.a. eine Tiergeschichte vor, bei denen die Kinder aktiv mitmachen konnten.

Gemeinsam mit dem inklusiven Kulturprogramm NoLimits der Landeshauptstadt Wiesbaden und unserem Kooperationspartner „Lies mit mir“ organisieren wir Vorlesen für Kids für Kita- und Grundschulkinder.

Geschulte „Lesefreiwillige“ bringen den Kindern die bunte Lesewelt näher. Im Geschichtenraum der Stadtbibliothek können die Kids in kleiner Gruppe den Geschichten lauschen.

Jeden 1. und 3. Samstag im Monat, zweimal 30 Minuten von 10:30 bis 11:30 Uhr. Die Teilnahme ist kostenfrei.

Rund um den bundesweiten Vorlesetag am 19. November 2021 hat sich der Vorlesetag Wiesbaden mit vielfältigen Aktionen eindrucksvoll eingebracht – und damit ein wichtiges Signal für das Vorlesen gesetzt. Bereits zum neunten Mal hatten die Initiatoren des Bundesweiten Vorlesetags – DIE ZEIT, Stiftung Lesen und Deutsche Bahn Stiftung – gemeinsam mit dem Deutschen Städte- und Gemeindebund den Titel „Vorlesestadt“ ausgelobt.

Mit der Auszeichnung 2021 ist Wiesbaden mittlerweile in allen drei Kategorien vertreten:

Den Wiesbadener Vorlesetag gibt es nur, weil sich zahlreiche Akteure für das Vorlesen einsetzen und Freude am Vorlesen vermitteln möchten. Ein großer Dank geht an alle, die eine Vorleseaktivität organisieren und an die vielen Vorlesenden, die im privaten, schulischen oder öffentlichen Rahmen Geschichten erzählen und damit Freude am Lesen vermitteln.
